About Grupotel Club Menorca
Situated just 200 metres from the beach, this hotel has a stunning outdoor pool set within a palm tree garden - enjoy a game of tennis before a drink on the terrace. Soak up the sunshine on the poolside loungers before cooling off in the pool or enjoying a siesta in the shade of the leafy garden. Start the day with a great buffet breakfast. Later enjoy a selection of hot and cold dishes in the dinner buffet and then head to the bar for a refreshing drink. You can also let yourself be entertained by the evening's entertainment team. There is plenty to keep you outdoors and active during your holiday on Menorca. Why not treat the kids to a private swimming lesson or try your hand at some archery or snooker. Aquarock Menorca (0.7 km) - show on map
Aquatic fun for everyone, attractions include the famous kamikaze slide, plus (on a drier note!) there are go-karts, trampolines, mini golf and video games. Pricing details and further information can be found at www.menorcaaquarock.com
Cala Blanca (5.5 km) - show on map
Worthy of note only for the fact that, as a beach, it has been completely dwarfed by the development around it! Cala Blanca is probably not a beach to visit by itself, the attraction is the development of restaurants and holiday facilities around it.
Museu Municipal de Ciutadella (8.4 km) - show on map
Originally built as a fortress, the Bastio de Sa Font was renovated as a museum in the mid 1990's. Thanks to many archaeological excavations, the museum can tell the history of the island from Pre-Talaiotic, through to Muslim times. Collections include Iron Age skulls, Roman coins and jewellery.
Naveta des Tudons (9.5 km) - show on map
The oldest roofed building in Spain and an ancient burial site (naveta meaning burial chamber) that yielded over 100 corpses during excavations in the 1950s. Admission is free.
Trotting races (9.6 km) - show on map
A popular sport in the Balearics for over 200 years, trotting races are held at weekends both in Mahon and Ciutadella. The jockey must prevent the horse from breaking into a gallop, hence the name "trotting". Great to watch but even better if you place the winning bet!
