These are plentiful and good value over short distances although they can be expensive for journeys across the island. Taxis with a green light are available for hire and can be hailed anywhere.
Feel free not to bother tipping a grumpy driver who refuses to help with luggage but in all other circumstances, tips in taxis are generally accepted to be around 10% of the total fare.

Menorca has an extensive bus network operated by Transportes Menorca, with terminals in Mahon and Ciutadella. Routes link the larger towns with villages and coastal resorts. A timetable of all bus routes is published in the daily Menorca newspaper Diario.
Unlike taxis, there's no need to tip bus drivers. Smiling and saying thank you (gracias) is enough.
